Koliko godina imaš? I How old are you?

Dok sam danas odgovarala već na 100 i neki e mail, između par sastanaka i telefonskih poziva koji su uslijedili, iznenadio me i jedan poziv od gospođe koja ima 92.godine.

Svoj radni vijek provela je u iseljeništvu, točnije u Kanadi, tamo je bila profesorica Hrvatskog jezika te je u Kanadi okupljala zajednicu Hrvata u iseljeništvu. Nakon umirovljena vratila se, ali dan danas još uvijek piše tekstove za američka i kanadska udruženja. Kaže da je noćni tip i da slobodno dođem u popodnevnim satima jer je tada u najboljoj formi.

I onda je meni previše?

Nije previše, mislim se – nikako – ako u ženi od 92. godine postoji još volja za životom i radom, kako bih ja mogla reći da je meni nešto danas teško?

Pred veljaču – što bih drugo i mogla napisati, osim da osjećam snažno žensku snagu ovih dana. Ta snaga dolazi od žena različitih životnih dobi, različitih zanimanja i mogu reći, da su mi dale nešto magično ovih dana. Počašćena sam što ih poznam i što mogu sudjelovati u kreiranju njihovih ciljeva.

Zato ću vas malo počastiti u idućim blogovima s predstavljanjem različitih žena iz različitih krajeva s različitim viđenjima života.

U nekima ću najaviti nove konferencije, koje tek dolaze i na kojima ću biti i sama sudionik, u nekima ćete čitati o malo egzotičnim uslugama koje nude, a u nekima će biti prisutan dah tradicije.

Vjerujem zato da u svom krugu imate kraljice, kao što imam ja, a sve zahvaljujući, na kraju i mojoj energiji i talentu ali i znanju koje rado dijelim, kad god mogu.

How old are you?

While today I already answered 100 or so e-mails, between a couple of meetings and phone calls that followed, I was surprised by a call from a lady who is 92 years old.

She spent her working life in emigration, specifically in Canada, where she was a professor of the Croatian language and gathered the community of Croats in emigration in Canada. After retirement, she returned, but today she still writes articles for American and Canadian associations. He says he’s a night guy and that I should come in the afternoon because that’s when he’s in the best shape.

Aww!

And then it’s too much for me?

It’s not too much, I think – not at all – if a 92-year-old woman still has the will to live and work, how could I say that something is difficult for me today?

Before February – what else could I write, except that I feel strong female power these days. That strength comes from women of different ages, different professions, and I can say that they gave me something magical these days. I am honored to know them and to be able to participate in the creation of their goals.

That’s why I will treat you a little in future blogs by presenting different women from different regions with different views of life.

In some of them I will announce new conferences that are yet to come and in which I will be a participant myself, in some of them you will read about the slightly exotic services they offer, and in some of them the breath of tradition will be present.

That’s why I believe that you have queens in your circle, as I do, and all thanks, in the end, to my energy and talent, but also to the knowledge that I gladly share, whenever I can.
